Who doesn’t love a big, tender, juicy steakhouse burger? The problem is, they are difficult to replicate at home because most steakhouses blend different cuts of beef to optimise the flavour and fat content of their burgers.

But I’ve discovered the secret… Whether you make them thick or thin, well done, medium or rare, these are the ultimate, juiciest home cooked steakhouse burgers. They are packed with flavour and they are fabulously juicy, even when cooked to well-done.

To bun or not to bun?

There is nothing to stop you just popping each voluptuous burger into your mouth just as it is; I like to wrap mine in a crisp lettuce leaf, like a juicy edible parcel… but there is nothing to stop you sandwiching them in one of my Keto buns along with my home made ketchup or anything else you may like…

Ingredients

  • 500 g Ground Beef – 20% Fat

  • 2 Slices of Keto Bread, crusts removed and diced into 0.5cm (smaller than 1/4 inch) pieces

  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder

  • 2 tsp Onion Powder

  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

  • 1 tbsp Homemade Ketchup

  • Pink Himalayan Salt and Freshly Ground Pepper

Method

  • Cut the slice of bread into small 0.5cm / (smaller than 1/4 inch) cubes
  • Mix the Worcestershire Sauce and home made Ketchup. Pour over the diced bread cubes and marinate for an hour
  • Add the diced bread cubes, garlic, onion salt and pepper to the mince and mix all together with your hands until combined
  • Fill a round 3 inch biscuit cutter with a heaped tbsp of the mixture, pressing a slight indentation in the middle. This will keep the burger even shaped when cooked
  • Fry in hot oil for circa 2 Minutes each side
